
Mental health is just as important as physical health, and Shanklin students are learning about how taking the time to be mindful or aware of thoughts, feelings, and sensations can help with regulating emotions, increasing focus, and building connections with others.


Shanklin Elementary is rockin’ on and supporting our Luling Eagles!





We found Ms. Segovia, 4th grade math teacher at Shanklin, tutoring remote students online. Our teachers support all our students!

This week is Start With Hello, a Sandy Hook Promise program which teaches children how to be more socially inclusive and connected to each other using these three easy steps. Each day has a different theme but it all “starts with hello”. #startwithhello



This week, September 21-25, is Start with Hello week for Luling Primary and Shanklin Elementary. #startwithhello
The students will learn a new skill each day:
Monday: Practice saying Hello to everyone they see
Tuesday: Learn Hello in many languages
Wednesday: Random Acts of Kindness
Thursday: Practice Social Distance Greetings
Friday: Green Day- show your spirit and support Start with Hello by wearing Green

Today is the last day of the 1st grading period. Changes to your child's learning platform (face to face or remote learning) can ONLY be made at the end of each grading period as this is not a daily preference choice. Students cannot change during the grading period.
If you would like to change how your child is receiving instruction, you must submit a Learning Platform Change Request Form. They are available on the district’s website under the Students & Families Tab (link below). Hard copies of the forms are available at campus offices. Forms may be hand delivered to campuses during business hours or forwarded electronically via email to the campus principal for processing by September 21st.

Shanklin Elementary teachers were treated to lunch today by their administrators to show them how much they are appreciated!

Shanklin Elementary students support their Luling Eagles in scaring aware the Lytle Pirates!



We found lots of crazy hair all over the district!




Our Luling High School cheerleaders challenged us to wear crazy hair today to scare away the Lytle Pirates and bring home a victory. The LHS cheerleaders did a great job of scaring those Pirates away!
