Happy Easter from all of us at Luling ISD!

Ms. Kersh's class has been digging into Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner—and what a journey it's been! This beautiful story opened their eyes to the magic happening above and below the garden soil. After reading, students brought the pages to life by creating a vibrant mural that captures the creatures, plants, and wonders of the garden world. #LulingLearns

No school on Good Friday or Easter Monday! Enjoy the long weekend and maybe eat a little too much chocolate. See everyone back on Tuesday.

You've got this, scholars! #LulingPrepare #LulingEmpower #LulingInspire

In 2003, our community experienced a tragic event that left a lasting impact. During a morning cross country practice, four student runners were struck by a vehicle. One of those runners, Leonel Roberto Morales, lost his life.
Leonel was a dedicated athlete, a beloved teammate, and a young man full of promise. His memory continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew him and through the strength and resilience of our community.
A plaque was originally placed to honor Leonel’s life and legacy. Over time, weather and the elements took their toll on that memorial. We are proud to share that a new plaque has been created, and we invite the community to come together once again to remember and honor Leonel.
Thursday, April 17th at 6pm in front of Luling HS.
This ceremony is a chance to recognize Leonel’s spirit, support those still affected by that day, and reaffirm our commitment to remembering those we have lost.
Please join us as we unveil the new plaque and continue to keep Leonel Roberto Morales in our thoughts and hearts.

Huge thanks to Captain Kirk Kuykendoll of the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office and Eddy Perez from SH 130 Concession Company for generously donating 10 new traffic cones to Shanklin Elementary! Your support helps keep our students safe and our school running smoothly!

Cafeteria food: the original brain power-up. 🍳🎮
Don’t skip breakfast and lunch unless you want to fight hunger like it’s Level 99.

Shanklin Elementary Student Council participated in the HEB School Bag Recycling Challenge in the month of March. They would like to thank everyone who donated bags to their cause. Today was a long awaited day for the students of Shanklin Elementary. Mrs. Meshell gave the students from kinder to 5th grade an incentive to complete as many lessons as possible on Imagine Math. It was a close race but the winning grade levels with the most lessons completed were : Kindergarten!!! & 3rd Grade!!!
And what was the incentive....Both grade levels were allowed to tape their principal, Mrs. Meshell to the wall!! Mrs. Meshell receive some extra decorations that made her look awesome while taped to the wall. Gig'em Aggies!!
