Tuesday - We "mustache" you to be drug free (sport your mustache) This
is also the 50th day of school, so dress in you best 50's outfit.
Wednesday - Sock it drugs (wear your crazy socks)
Thursday - Be a "jean-ious" and wear jeans (wear your jeans)
Friday - Team Up against drugs (wear your favorite team shirt or jersey)

Shanklin students are signing the No Place For Hate pledge this week! This program “helps to create and sustain inclusive school environments where all students feel valued and have the opportunity to succeed by promoting respect for individual differences”. ADL- Austin


The second graders at Shanklin Elementary are using a two-step problem graphic organizer and their addition strategies to plan, solve, and check their solutions in math. Way to use your strategies second graders!





The third grade math team at Shanklin Elementary is planning for student learning using CPA - Conceptual development leading to Pictorial representations and then to Abstract mathematics. This team is awesome!

And the winner of the Purple Out Toiletry Drive to benefit Hays Caldwell Women’s Center is Ms. Amundsen’s fifth grade class, with a close second place from Ms. Barnwell’s second grade class. Shanklin Elementary donated over 1,000 items to the toiletry drive!





All students will take their fall school pictures tomorrow, on October 13th. Face-to-Face learners will take their pictures during school from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Remote learners will have the opportunity to take their pictures from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM at the Shanklin Elementary Cafeteria. Students will form a line on the right side entry of Shanklin. Order forms will be available if you would like to purchase pictures tomorrow. All students entering the school will be required to have their temperatures taken before entering the building. Students and parents will also be required to follow social distancing guidelines.
