Shanklin's ACE program hosted a Family Night on Thursday evening. Parents and students enjoyed fall crafts and reading Thanksgiving-themed books. Fun was had by all!










Our elementary students got a special performance of the high school play "Miss Nelson is Missing" today, and they LOVED it! Don’t miss your chance to see it too!

Gerdes staff had some fun today with the Turkey Plate game! Blok, Gleason, Wood, Kirkwood, Fernandez, Arredondo, Romero, Camacho, and Kurtis got all six items on their plates by the end of the day. Congratulations to the winners!



It's the season to be grateful! This week, Shanklin staff members are praising one another and leaving each other notes of gratitude. Teachers will receive their "gratitude envelopes" on Friday. We are grateful for the Shanklin staff who provide exemplary instruction and support to our students daily!

At tonight's board meeting, the Spotlight Students and Staff were honored. Fifth grade math teacher Terri Crowell is the Spotlight Staff of the Month. The Spotlight Students are second grader Odalya Garcia, eighth grader Nathan Renteria, and tenth grader Dominik Anderson. Tuesday was a GREAT day for our High School Spanish 3 & 4 students! They visited the San Antonio Museum of Art to explore the Amalia Mesa-Bains: Archaeology of Memory exhibit.
